Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko.

Mourinho is taking advantage of his World Cup pundit's role in Russia to keep a close watch on the Croatia international.

24Sata says Mourinho took notes on Vrsaljko for Croatia's victory over Nigeria as he considers the defender for this summer's market.

Italian agent Giovanni de Vito, who has close ties to Croatian football, told Tribalfootball.com earlier this month: "He can replace (Matteo) Darmian, he would be perfect for that position.

"There is a lack of a left and right back (at United), especially with his particular features."
