Jose Mourinho blamed defensive errors for Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday.
Winger Pedro cashed in some miscommunication between Chris Smalling and Daley Blind to get things started in just the first minute before a corner from Eden Hazard was not dealt with properly and fell kindly for Gary Cahill to lash home on 21 minutes.
After the match, Mourinho spoke about the mistakes his defenders made and how it essentially cost United any chance of getting a footing in the contest.
"In the first minute, you analyse the goal and you can see what happened - we made incredible defensive mistakes, individual defensive mistakes and you pay for that," he said, in reference to Pedro's 1st-minute opener.
"After a few seconds you are losing 1-0, then you go close to 1-1, then another defensive mistake and it's 2-0.
"Then you are close to 2-1 and they counter for 3-0, then you are close to 3-1 and they score to make it 4-0. You come with a strategy and you cannot concede a goal the way we did in the first minute, that changed the game."
Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante put the finishing touches on for the Blues who extended United's winless streak in the league to three matches.
