The Anderlecht supporters came in for praise from Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho for unwavering support of their team despite going out of the Europa League quarter finals 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.

The Belgian outfit pushed Utd hard for most of the game and their supporters played their part in creating the atmosphere inside Old Trafford with their vociferous noise.

At the end of the game Mourinho went over to the away fans and applauded them.

"They were fantastic. They were behind their team; they pushed them when they were up, they pushed them when they were down and pushed them even in the final minute of the game.
