Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits they couldn't handle the speed of Liverpool for Sunday's defeat.

Mourinho was full of praise for Reds fullback Andrew Robertson after the 3-1 defeat.

He said: “Liverpool play 200mph with and without the ball.

“I am still tired to look at Robertson. He makes a 100m sprint per minute! Incredible."

Mourinho did not even attempt to argue against the final result.

“The strongest team won, but they won in the period when they were not stronger than us.

“In first 20 minutes of the first half there was a huge distance [between the teams]. They were better and stronger, they did everything better than us."
