Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will not rush the introduction of Diogo Dalot.

The Manchester Evening News says Dalot is making progress with his rehabilitation from surgery but United are 'taking it intentionally slow to make sure nothing is rushed', according to a source close to the player.

The 19-year-old suffered a knee injury in the final stages of Porto's title-winning campaign last season and underwent a minor operation in May.

"There is no set date - they're taking it intentionally slow to make sure nothing is rushed," the source said. "But I believe he will be available by the end of the month."

Dalot could make his first start for United in the Carabao Cup third round next month.
