Man Utd boss Mourinho hails 'mature' Pogba

Paul Pogba earned plaudits from all corners after his performance in the World Cup semi final.

Pogba was one of the stars for France as the team overcame Belgium 1-0 to reach the final.

One man who was very impressed with his display is his club manager, Jose Mourinho.

The Manchester United boss, who is working for RT as an analyst during the tournament, spoke about Pogba's maturity during the game.

"They tried to control the game which they did with a fantastic performance by Varane and a very good performance by Pogba," Mourinho said on RT.

"Pogba was mature, he played with great maturity. When he had to hold position and to keep control of the game he did.

"When (France boss) Deschamps took off (Olivier) Giroud to bring on (Steven) Nzonzi then Pogba had more freedom but freedom not to do silly things. Freedom to keep the ball away from the dangerous areas.

"To keep the ball, to assist (Antoine) Griezmann for a great chance. He was very, very mature."
