Man Utd boss Mourinho: Fellaini contract talks? I'm worried...

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits he's worried Marouane Fellaini will leave.

Off contract in June, the Belgium midfielder has stalled negotiations over a new deal.

This morning, Mourinho was asked if he was still 'worried' Fellaini could leave.

"Yes," he replied. "It is a discussion between the player and the board. I'm not involved in contracts and deals, and I respect both.

"I respect the player because he has the right, has the right to decide his future, and I respect the board because the decisions and the discussions are under control.

"So I just wait wishing they will have an understanding but it's out of my control."

Mourinho Mourinho hailed Fellaini for his "fantastic" impact on his comeback appearance at Chelsea earlier this month.

"I don't want to forget because I really want to do this," Mourinho beamed. "I have to say Fellaini was fantastic, for me, for the fellow players, for the fans, for the team, for the club.

"He was injured for weeks, he trained yesterday for the first time with the team and he put himself on the line ready to come into help in case of the team needed. So really, really pleased, I don't want it to go in blank [unnoticed]."
