RB Leipzig recognise they face a battle to keep hold of Dayot Upamecano next year.

The young French defender joined RBL last season from partners RB Salzburg for €10m and after a scratchy start, he is now fulfilling his potential.

Fussball Transfers reports Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan and is having Upamecano scouted this season.

However, it's suggested Barcelona are showing the greatest interest, where they see Upamecano as a potential successor for Gerard Pique or Javier Mascherano.

Tied to RBL until 2021, Upamecano's buyout clause is set at €100m and there is an expectation inside the Bundesliga outfit of offers arriving next year.
