Manchester United boss Jose Mourinnho omitted Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba for tonight's FA Cup win over Brighton.
Pogba - who started the Sevilla game on the bench - and Sanchez were both left out of the XI, joining David De Gea, Victor Lindelof, Ashley Young, Marouane Fellaini and Marcus Rashford in reserve.
Speaking to the Manchester United website, Mourinho claims that the decision was based purely on who deserved to be in the side.
"It's just the team that I think is the best team to try to win the match," he said.
"We don't have a match in two days or a reason to think about another match.
"This is the only match to think about and I'm playing the players that I believe deserve to play."
