Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is chasing Monaco fullback Bernard Mendy.

Le 10 Sport says Mourinho has enlisted Paul Pogba to convince his France international team-mate to join United.

But it's claimed Mendy is closing in on a move to Manchester City.

Monaco yesterday sold Bernardo Silva to City and club chiefs have reportedly given Mendy the green light to make the same move.

Etihad chiefs will likely have to shell out in excess of £39m for his signature.
