Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says he has a story to tell over his snub by Barcelona.

Both he and Pep Guardiola, now in charge of Manchester City, interviewed for the job in 2008, with the Catalan winning the post.

Speaking to Telefoot, Mourinho was coy over why he believed he was snubbed.

"My arrival to Barcelona in 2008 rejected in favor of Guardiola? Maybe one day I'll tell the truth, but not today. These are things in my career that I prefer to keep to myself.

"Maybe I'll tell one day, when I'm old ... maybe."
