Man Utd boss keen for Schweinsteiger to go full 90

Bastian Schweinsteiger managed to get some more valuable minutes under his belt in the weekend's FA Cup clash with West Ham United.

The German midfielder was sidelined with a knee injury for more than two months before coming off the bench in Thursday's Europa League Round of 16 first leg loss to Liverpool.

At Old Trafford on Sunday, Schweinsteiger again came on late to be a driving force in United's 1-1 draw with the Hammers in the quarter-final and van Gaal can't wait for him to be available for a full match as the business end of the season fast approaches.

"I think he did fantastically, but of course he played 15 minutes," said the Dutchman.

"Ninety minutes is different but I was very happy with him."

Anthony Martial scored in the 83rd minute to set up a replay after Dimitri Payet had opened the scoring with a superb free-kick 15 minutes earlier.
