Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has likened Ashley Young to Ryan Giggs. Ferguson was asked yesterday what Young has brought to the team in terms of his attributes.

"Awareness", "endurance" and "box-to-box energy like we've enjoyed from Ryan Giggs for many years" was the manager's reply.

He also praised the winger's crossing ability.
