Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson won't judge his kids on this week's Cup shocker.
Ferguson is still reeling from Tuesday's 4-0 Carling Cup thumping at West Ham.
He said: "A few years from now these young players will go down there and win that game.
"That is what experience gives you. It was not a 4-0 scoreline. We had the most possession, we had the most entries into the penalty box.
"They had six strikes at goal and scored four. We defended poorly. You cannot afford that in a cup-tie.
"The league's been wide open so far and it's definitely possible that could still be the case at the turn of the year.
"It's another indication that it's a different league now and we've certainly seen a lot of surprising results."
