Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects an instant response from his players after their defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
United are at Newcastle United on Wednesday.
"You don't win every time," said Ferguson. "I've had plenty of defeats. But in the context of all the achievements, it's miniscule.
"We're all very good at losing, you know that? People maybe say "oh they're great winners" and all that type of thing, but we're great losers. You know why? Because we don't let that happen too many times.
"We've got a certain attitude about that. The players help in that respect. They've addressed the situation. We've had three major defeats this season. Lost to City, we responded. Lost to Crystal Palace, we responded. Lost to Basle, we responded. That tells you something - that the players don't like losing.
"There was a big impact in losing those games in terms of the criticism we received but we responded, and that's Manchester United."
