Man Utd boss Ferguson: We can't worry about Man City

Manchester United can turn up the pressure on leaders Manchester City tomorrow.

United play at QPR tomorrow lunchtime and victory will put them a point ahead of City and turn up the pressure before Roberto Mancini's men take on Arsenal at the Etihad.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "The important thing is to win our game and not worry too much what happens elsewhere.

"Every team carries its own type of pressure. We carry the expectation of everyone expecting us to have a certain level.

"You saw the criticism of us being knocked out of the Champions League. That's something we're used to and respond well to."

If United remain within a couple of points of City come the New Year, Ferguson will be well pleased.

He added: "Come the second half of the season we'll have a chance. It's just the way we've prepared ourselves for that part.

"All the work in the early season, the pre-season, is geared to the second half. And also they're bigger and more important games."
