Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to use Ryan Giggs centrally to cover his midfield injuries.
Paul Scholes is out until Christmas and with Michael Carrick still recovering from a broken foot, Owen Hargreaves struggling with tendinitis in his knee, 18-year-old Rodrigo Possebon recovering from the horror tackle against Middlesbrough that put him in hospital and Brazil's Anderson short of last season's form, United look lacking in numbers ahead of Saturday's game at Blackburn.
"That's where I see Ryan playing from now on," said Ferguson. "I think his days of raiding up and down the left are gone, if I'm honest. He has the ability to play in the central area. He passes the ball very well."
