Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was sorry to hear of Juande Ramos' sacking by CSKA Moscow last week.
United face CSKA this week at Old Trafford in their latest Champions League tie.
Ferguson said: "It's getting worse. Managers and coaches now get very little time and it doesn't matter what you have achieved in the past.
"If you've had two or three results then these things happen.
"Ramos' record is good. He's obviously got talent, but you can sometimes go to a club at the wrong time.
"Losing to us seemed to cause a panic that they wouldn't even qualify for the Europa Cup."
