Man Utd boss Ferguson TWICE turned down Real Madrid

Real Madrid TWICE have failed with approaches to Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson's 1993 book, Just Champion, reveals he was tapped up in 1991 when Raddy Antic was in charge.

The claim is not repeated in his subsequent books but he was targeted again 12 years later, in 2003, when Real instead appointed Ferguson's assistant Carlos Quieroz who lasted just a single season.
