Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to Rio Ferdinand to take on the leadership mantle in the coming years.
Ferguson insists Ferdinand still has a couple of years left at the top.
He said: "Rio should have another couple of years left, I would think. And as you do that, [Wayne] Rooney gets more experience. We're not short of it. Whether we can get a Giggs or Scholes, which club would not want to have that? But it's difficult to think you can get a Scholes or Giggs. They're not falling off trees, that's for sure."
