Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was taken aback this morning when asked about Wayne Rooney's claim he will miss a game to attend the birth of his baby.
Rooney's wife Coleen is due to give birth to their first child on October 24.
Three days before that date, United will be in Russia to face CSKA Moscow and on October 25 they face a trip to Liverpool in the Premier league.
Ferguson said: "I have no idea about Wayne and the baby. I don't know anything about it. He has not spoken to me."
