Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson rates last Sunday's derby as the best ever.

Ferguson, writing in his match programme notes for the Cup win over Wolves, said: "And what a derby, to my mind maybe the greatest of all time, thanks to some super goals along with some horrendous defensive mix-ups. The see-saw drama of it was enthralling before we emerged 4-3 winners and naturally, being a local derby, there was controversy.

"The big issue centred, of course, on the time added on by the referee, with nearly seven minutes on top of normal play. I can understand the frustration of Mark Hughes as the manager on the receiving end of a very late winning goal."
