Manchester United have suffered an international selection blow involving Shinji Kagawa.

The Telegraph says Sir Alex Ferguson's selection problems are not going to be made any easier by the loss of his biggest new arrival, Kagawa, for most of next week after the Japanese was selected for his country's friendly with Venezuela in Sapporo.

Kagawa joined from Borussia Dortmund after scoring 21 goals in 49 Bundesliga appearances.
