Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson steamed into Nemanja Vidic last weekend, it has been revealed.

The News of the World says Vidic's future is also uncertain after he was on the end of the "hair-dryer" treatment at Old Trafford last weekend.

Ferguson told the central defender that "he was not big enough to decide which games to play for United" when the Serbian pulled out of the FA Cup third round defeat to Leeds in the warm-up.

Vidic has since been ruled out for two weeks with a nerve problem in his leg.
