Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may start with Darren Fletcher at Liverpool.

The Scot has missed all three recent defeats, but has been in the starting line-up for their last three wins over the Merseysiders.

Fletcher, who chased shadows against Spain earlier this week, is likely to be given the nod ahead of the fit-again Tom Cleverley, Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick to partner Anderson in midfield.

Skipper Nemanja Vidic is also set to return after a month out with a calf strain.
