Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson rates his signing of Wayne Rooney among the best decisions he's made.

Ferguson makes the comment in the forward to Rooney's new book, 'My Decade in the Premier League by Wayne Rooney', which is being serialised in the Mirror:

"Wayne has it within his grasp to carve for himself a very special place in the history of Manchester United.

"I'd like to think I've made one or two good decisions during my time in football, but there is no question the signing of Wayne Rooney from Everton is up there with the best of them."
