Man Utd boss Ferguson set for face-to-face Lucas talks

Manchester United are closing on Sao Paulo star Lucas Moura this week. Sky Sports says a fee is believed to have been agreed between United and Sao Paulo and the Old Trafford outfit have been given the green light to hold talks with Lucas.

Sir Alex Ferguson remained behind from United's pre-season trip to Norway for Sunday's friendly with Valerenga and the reason for his absence is thought to be to push through a deal for Moura.

Should United clinch the signing it would be a massive boost for Ferguson as the wideman is regarded as one of the brightest young talents to emerge from Brazil in recent years.
