Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson still wants to make two more signings, it has been revealed.

The Daily Mail says United are back in the hunt for Valencia midfielder David Silva.

United enquired last summer and again prior to the January transfer window.

They have rated him for some time with recommendations from European scout Martin Ferguson.

They have some concerns that he is a bit lightweight for Valencia's £23million valuation but recognise he has undoubted talent and can play wide left or behind the strikers.

United still want to bring in at least another two players and may strengthen the centre of midfield first.
