Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to land Wigan Athletic midfielder Wilson Palacios.
The Sunday Express says Ferguson rates the Honduras international in the same class as Chelsea ace Michael Essien.
Ferguson is confident of landing Palacios in January for £15 million.
