Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand will be fit for their clash at Liverpool.
Both players were substituted early in last night's 1-0 Champions League win at CSKA Moscow.
But at the post-match media conference, Ferguson was quick to reassure any concerns over the fitness of Ferdinand and Scholes. He said it was purely a precaution to make sure they were well rested for Sunday.
He said: "I took Rio off as a precaution to make him available for Sunday and it was the same with Paul Scholes. I was always going to do that. It was also important that Nemanja Vidic played for a whole game to prepare him."
