Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out Wayne Rooney for England's friendly against France.
United star Roo, 25, is spending a week at Nike's HQ in Portland as he recovers from an ankle injury.
He is expected back on Saturday, but has not played a game for 3½ weeks so is unlikely to be allowed to go on international duty.
Ferguson said: "He can only be available if he's fit and he's not fit."
