Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out Rio Ferdinand from their Champions League clash with Marseille.
The England captain is almost certain to miss the Euro 2012 qualifier with Wales in Cardiff in two weeks.
"He has been doing a lot of running and he'll probably be ready to return after the internationals I would imagine but I wouldn't have thought it would be before that," said Ferguson.
"I don't think it would be wise [to go with England], he hasn't played for us for something like five weeks."
