Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Cristiano Ronaldo won't settle for being named European Footballer of the Year.
Ferguson said: "We are very proud. Manchester United have been waiting for this for 40 years. His award is beyond all possible dispute and his best years are all ahead of him."
He added: "In life, you have two categories of people. Those who reach their goal and go to bed saying 'I made it', and the other ones who are driven by will, desire. These ones, when they win the trophy, they say 'I go on.' Ronaldo has that sparkle in himself."
