Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted hamstring worry for Wayne Rooney. Rooney will be assessed by United just hours before the Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Schalke, as the striker tries to overcome the injury that kept him out of Tuesday's open training session at Carrington.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Sir Alex said of Rooney: "He didn't train this morning.
"He has a tight hamstring so we left him today. We'll see what he's like tomorrow."
The development also raises the prospect of Rooney missing United's clash with Chelsea this weekend.
