Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will not consider selling defender Jonny Evans.
The Daily Star Sunday says Manchester United's £16.5million signing of Phil Jones from Blackburn encouraged Spurs, Wolves and Sunderland to believe Evans could now be available.
Wolves were linked with a £7m bid for the Northern Ireland centre-back.
But United boss Fergie has indicated he wants Evans, 23, to stay.
He sees him as a central defender who can also give cover at left-back.
But clubs will continue to monitor Evans' situation, as he is behind Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Jones in his preferred position.
