Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced a Premiership club will win the Champions League this season.

He said: "Hopefully an English club can win the Champions League - and I feel there is a strong possibility that both finalists could come from the Premier League this season.

"The competitiveness of our league helps that cause and over the last few years there has been a real improvement in the top teams to show we are going along the right lines with our club football."
