Man Utd boss Ferguson ponders gamble over Real Madrid captain Raul

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a gamble on Real Madrid captain Raul. The Daily Mail says United have been linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Raul should he be allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Real president Florentino Perez is believed to be ready to give the 32-year-old a golden handshake to leave the club this summer.

However, while he is admired by Sir Alex Ferguson, sources at Old Trafford believe Raul is too old to make a significant impact on the Premier League.
