Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has pencilled in their Carling Cup tie with Scunthorpe United as Bebe's debut.

United are adamant the player has the ability to succeed at the club and his absence so far this season has been put down to a lack of fitness.

But having played - and scored - on international duty for Portugal Under-21s in midweek, Bebe is approaching full fitness.
