Sir Alex Ferguson feels that although 'squeaky bum time' is very much in full swing, there are plenty more twists and turns to come as the nerves start to jangle in the Premier League title race.
"We're approaching the finishing line and there's not long to go now, but sometimes it seems a lifetime away," said Ferguson on Setanta Sports News ahead of his side's trip to Middlesbrough on Sunday.
"At this time of the year the nerves can play a part and you can get a shock result. I've said all along that the team that's most consistent is going to win the league." With only two of United's six remaining league fixtures to be staged at Old Trafford, Ferguson knows all too well what his side must focus on.
"We've come to a time in the season when you could class every one as a decider," he continued. "We've only got two home games left and away games to Blackburn, to Chelsea to Middlesbrough and Wigan. "By the balance of that, we've got to make sure our away form stays strong."
