Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson may step down should they win the Premier League this season.
The Sunday Mirror says Ferguson will consult his family over his Manchester United future if they win a record breaking 19th League title.
The United boss, 69, has made it his mission to break Liverpool's record and they moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League after yesterday's thumping 4-0 win at Wigan.
Ferguson's decision to consult his family comes as no surprise as it was his wife Cathy who convinced him to perform a U-turn in 2002 after he had announced his retirement.
He has always rubbished rumours of retirement and maintained his health would determine whether he carried on.
He said: "The only thing that determines whether I stay here is my health. And I am in rude health."
