Ferguson feels the strain of tackling Liverpool in two Champions League ties and a League clash in the next 11 days will leave Arsene Wenger's side drained.
"I plan to fly back after our game in Rome and watch that first Champions League game at the Emirates.
"It will be fascinating to see how those teams go at each other.
"Arsenal have been a bit unlucky to have fallen back in the title race. They were unfortunate with injuries to three key midfield men in Diaby, Rosicky and Denilson.
"That would stretch any team's resources. And after going a goal ahead at Chelsea they were pegged back when Toure was off the field.
"After that though, Chelsea finished very strong, and always looked like winning. It is something they are very good at."
