Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson finds Liverpool's axing of Roy Hodgson as ridiculous.
Ferguson's United knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup on Sunday with Kenny Dalglish installed as Hodgson's replacement.
He said: "Roy is the LMA manager of the year after his achievements with Fulham last season. It's incredible he was put in this position. Why did they take him on, then?
"He's got great experience, he's been around the world managing Inter Milan twice, he's managed the Swiss national team, the Finnish national team and he took Fulham to the Europa League final. So it's all his fault?
"The squad is the one he inherited. He brought in Paul Konchesky, Raul Meireles, Christian Poulsen and the deals for Joe Cole and Milan Jovanovic were more or less done already. What's happening to managers now is unreal. It's a territory that is widening, talking about this manager and that manager going.
"It's a sad situation when managers don't have the time or the money, don't get the breaks and lose a few games and then their jobs."
