Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was happy to joke with German journalists about his interest in Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Last week Ferguson described Neuer as a "brilliant" keeper, while his own keeper coach Eric Steele has confirmed United's interest in the shot-stopper.
"Ich kenne nicht" he replied when a German journalist asked if Neuer might be heading to Old Trafford in the close-season.
Neuer is also a target for Bayern Munich.
