Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to ask Valencia about their star pair David Villa and David Silva.

The Daily Star Sunday says Ferguson has been monitoring the situation at Valencia over both Villa and Silva but believes the Spanish club are asking unrealistic fees.

The United boss will no doubt use the opportunity of Valencia's visit to Old Trafford for a friendly on Wednesday night to bring himself up to date on the situation regarding the highly-rated pair.
