Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits 18 year-old Rafael da Silva has established himself as a virtual first-choice at right-back.

Ferguson said: "When a player like Rafael breaks into the club with form and ability like that, there's not a lot you can do about it. You have to pick him.

"The boy is ready for it all."
