Man Utd boss Ferguson: Hernandez to see MLS Allstar action

Javier Hernandez could make his debut for Manchester United in the MLS Allstar clash in Houston.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to working with the 22-year-old, who was snapped up by the club towards the end of last season.

"We were lucky that we identified him before the World Cup and got the deal the done," he told manutd.com.

"If we'd have waited until after the tournament he could have cost us maybe two to three times the money. It was good work by our scouting department - they did a really job.

"It depends on his condition when he joins us in Houston but we hope to give him a bit of football on Wednesday night."

Sir Alex also revealed the plans for Friday night's match against Hernandez's former club Chivas in Guadalajara.

"He'll play against his old club in the first half and then play for them against us in the second. It'll be a nice tribute to his old club."
