Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has likened Javier Hernandez's emergence to Ryan Giggs and George Best.

Ferguson believes Hernandez could give Manchester United's superstar line-up a wake-up call.

Fergie said: "The great thing about football is that some wee guy turns the corner and takes someone's place, and I can see that happening with Hernandez.

"It happened with George Best, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes who started to take Paul Ince's place. I always remember Bryan Robson saying to me 'who are all these young whipper-snappers taking my bloody position!'."
