Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has bought himself a permanent base in New York.

The Daily Mail says Ferguson is wealthy enough now to have a three-bedroom penthouse apartment on Manhattan's super-expensive Upper East Side.

This explains why he was in New York for Andy Murray's US Open win and gave regular interviews on the Big Apple's SiriusXM radio station, which is run by a friend.
