Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits veteran pair Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs will have limited roles next season.

He said: "There are certain players in the team that will improve immeasurably next year and okay, we have the issue of Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs getting to the twilight of their careers.

"They will contribute in a big way next season as they normally do - but not in as many games.

"They will eventually be phased out as you have to do in life."
