Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was full of praise for Carlos Tevez after his brace against Fulham last night. "It was a superb performance, he has so much great energy," Ferguson said. "He was a jack in the box all day."
Wayne Rooney added his goal just after the break, then Park Ji-sung scored nine minutes before full-time.
"Everyone was fit and fresh and bursting to play," Ferguson said.
"It was exciting right from the work go, with energy and enjoyment.
"But it was a tricky tie, Fulham were in form and we had to respect that. The last thing we needed was a draw."
Ferguson could even afford to rest Cristiano Ronaldo and keep Dimitar Berbatov on the bench.
He added: "My biggest concern is picking the right team, it's not easy for me leaving out great players in every game.
"I hope at the end of the season it will be recognised that everyone has made a contribution."
